Joe Marino
Marino tied his season-high of nine saves against New Paltz and eight saves against Oneonta to notch his third and fourth shutout of the season. Brockport extended its shutout streak to three games and has not allowed a goal in 280 minutes of action.
The win over Oneonta was the first for the Golden Eagles since 1983, snapping a 26-year streak.
Brockport is tied for first in the conference standings with a record of 3-1-0.
Kasey Schreiner
Schreiner recorded 22 saves and surrendered just one goal as the field hockey team dropped a close 1-0 decision to undefeated and #5 nationally ranked SUNY Cortland. Cortland scored 18 minutes into the contest on one of their 15 shot attempts and was held scoreless on any attempts in the second half.
Schreiner posted a .871 save percentage and allowed 3.24 goals against average on the week in 111:15 minutes of play.
*** No home games on the schedule this week which means off on vacation. The big question is where? My paradise is located on Eagle Island (on Lake Ontario).....Here is a picture!!!
