Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to Max Zimmerman and Melissa Hill on being named the Brockport Elite Eagles of the Week for the week of March 29-April 4.

Junior Max Zimmerman is the male athlete of the week after leading the Brockport Baseball team to a 4-0 week.
Zimmerman finished with a .647 batting average, a .941 slugging average and a .667 on-base percentage. He was 11-of-17 at the plate with two doubles, a grand slam, five runs scored and 12 RBI.
The designated hitter had three hits and two runs batted in the 6-2 victory over nationally ranked #25 University of Rochester. The Golden Eagles held on for a 14-10 win over Pitt-Bradford, where Zimmerman had four hits and five RBI. Brockport swept Utica College 12-8 and 11-1 to finish the week. Zimmerman had four hits in the two games included a grand slam in the second game.
Zimmerman had at least two hits in each game and currently leads the team with 27 hits and 26 RBI on the season.

Senior Melissa Hill is the female athlete of the week after leading the women’s lacrosse team to a 2-0 week.
Hill scored eight goals with two assists over the two games in addition to leading the team with seven ground balls, six draw controls and five caused turnovers.
Hill netted five goals in the 29-5 win over SUNY New Paltz in which the Golden Eagles set a new school record for most goals in a game. She followed with three goals in the 17-8 victory over Oneonta.
Brockport has won six straight games and are averaging nearly 20 goals per game in the six-game win streak while allowing just over five per contest.
