Of course, there are a lot of teams in action this weekend in Brockport sports, but today and tomorrow The College at Brockport are holding something special on campus. We are holding the Empire State Games for the Physically Challenged today and Saturday.
Athletes ages range from 5-21 years old. There are tons of divisions so it gives all athletes a chance to have a weekend of fun with friendly competition. I hope you come out and check out the games and support all this weekends athletes. Below is a picture from this morning Opening Ceremonies!!
As for your Golden Eagles, our football team has a big test this weekend as they take on the NJAC's top team in Kean University. Brockport has lost three in a row and are looking to the fans on tomorrow to get a upset W. Kick off set for 1:00 out at the stadium so make sure you get your spray paint on and get ready to cheer on your Golden Eagles.
A pair of senior day celebrations you should check out Saturday afternoon as well. Field hockey takes on Geneseo at 12, and women's soccer hits the field against Cortland at 1.
My suggestion? Hop back and forth from all three games going on (since they are all next to each other!)
