To get Monday started here are the Athletes of the week!

Men's basketball had an impressive week as they won all three games to improve to 11-4 on the season and 7-1 in the SUNYAC. The Golden Eagles lead conference by two wins over Cortland and Oneonta (5-3). On Friday night the team played a marathon of a game winning in double overtime 100-96 against Plattsburgh. Josh Zenkel hit a three pointer at the end of the regulation with the clock hitting 00:00 to force the overtime.
The gymnastics squad earned another win on the season to remain unbeaten at 3-0 as they defeated Springfield. Brockport won each individual event and took the top two spots in the all-around.
Indoor Track and Field competed for the first time in over a month and had four individual first place finishes as Male Athlete of the Week, Mieney, took top honors in the pole vault. Junior Ryan Gilmore won the 5K race with a time of 15:40.77 and fellow junior Ray Lund was the top collegiate finisher in the weight throw with a toss of 57’5½”. Junior Brittany Dodd won the 55-meter hurdles race with a winning time of 9.00 seconds to lead the Brockport women’s team.
Senior James Forsyth wrestled back for three victories in the consolation bracket in the 165-pound weight class to finish fourth, leading The College at Brockport Wrestling team to an eighth-place finish at the New York State Championships Sunday at Cornell University in Ithaca.
The hockey team posted a 4-2 come from behind victory over Potsdam Friday night before falling to Nationall-ranked No. 3 SUNY Plattsburgh on Saturday. The Golden Eagles currently rank fourth in the conference standings with a 4-6 record, tied with Cortland and Geneseo.
Despite losing by three points to Potsdam, Brockport had some highlights in the game. Lacey Grove finished with a career-high16 points while Rachel Csakany recorded her fourth consecutive double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore Bobbi Jean Bryden added a career-high 10 points.
Dan Brigano set new pool records in the one-meter and three-meter against MCC in 11-dives.
Well before this turns into a thesis, I better wrap things up.... Mark your calendars for Swimming senior day on Friday Jan. 29 against Oneonta at 4pm and Gymnastic senior day on Sunday Jan. 31 at 12pm.
Go Brockport!
