Weekend Athletic Events

Hello Brockport Fans!

The Golden Eagles will be busy in Tuttle North this weekend as there are several events going on. I hope to see you all wearing your green and gold and cheering on Brockport.

Today at 4pm the swimming and diving teams are hosting SUNY Oneonta. It is also senior day, so be sure to stop by and give the seniors and extra hand for their dedication over the years.

At 6pm, the women's basketball team will host SUNY Cortland. Senior Whitney Smith passed the 1,000 point career milestone earlier in the week and currently leads the team with 16.8 points per game. Cortland leads the conference standings with an 8-1 record and is on an eight game winning streak.

At 8pm, the men's basketball team will host the Red Dragons. Brockport leads the SUNYAC standings with an 8-1 record and are on a four game winning streak. They lost to Cortland earlier in the season 65-63. The Golden Eagles are forcing average of 22 turnovers per game and are led by Jermaine Johnson who is averaging 13.3 points per contest.

On Saturday, the men's and women's basketball teams will be back in action at 2 and 4pm against SUNY Oswego. The women lost to the Lakers in the final few minutes back on Dec. 4, while the men came out on top 53-49.

On Sunday, the gymnastics team, who is ranked No. 1 in the Nation among division III teams as calculated by computer scoring and posted at www.troester.com, will be hosting the Brockport Invite. The Golden Eagles will compete against MIT, Southern Connecticut, West Chester and Wilson.

And as a heads up Tuesday February 2nd is Pink Zone!
The basketball teams will wear pink warm-up tops and other pink apparel for its game against SUNY Fredonia, at 6 pm, in the Tuttle North Gymnasium. Fans also are encouraged to wear pink and all donations will go to the Kay Yow Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Cancer Fund.

Go Brockport!
