Athletes of the Week

Female Athlete of the Week
Senior Lauren Gildemeyer (Baldwinsville, NY/CW Baker) is this week’s female athlete of the week after leading The College at Brockport Gymnastics team to its third straight ECAC Championship.

Gildemeyer won the all-around with a 37.8 scored and captured the floor exercise title tying her career high with a 9.9 for the second consecutive week.

She also finished second on the balance beam, fifth on the vault and sixth on the uneven bars for the Golden Eagles. Additionally, she was voted the ECAC Gymnast of the Year by the head coaches of the member schools.


Male Athlete of the Week
Senior Adam Drypolcher (Manlius, NY/Fayetteville-Manlius) is this week’s male athlete of the week after leading The College at Brockport Men’s Lacrosse team to another victory and a 2-0 record to start the 2010 season.

Drypolcher scored four goals in the season opening victory over Alfred University more than a week ago and last week led the Golden Eagles with three goals and an assists in the 9-7 victory over Clarkson University.

Drypolcher leads the team with eight points on seven goals and one assist and has moved into first place on the school’s all-time career scoring list. Already the school’s all-time career goal scorer, he moved into first place on the all-time career points list with his first three points of the season passing Anthony Ventresca. Drypolcher is one point shy of the 100-point milestone for his career with 78 goals and 21 assists.
