Freshmen Sarah Brown (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) and John Osucha (Corfu, NY/Alden) are the Elite Eagles for the week of May 10-16.
Brown is the female athlete of the week after leading Brockport to a first round win in the NCAA Division III Tournament over Rowan before falling to Franklin and Marshall University, the defending Division III National Champions, in the second round.
Brown scored four of the first five goals for Brockport in the 16-9 win over Rowan and added two assists in the loss to the Diplomats.
The Golden Eagles finished the season with a 13-4 record as Brown led the team with 69 points on 36 goals and 33 assists.
Osucha is the male athlete of the week as he was the top finisher for the Golden Eagles at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
Osucha placed second in the discus competition with a NCAA provisional throw of 48.77 meters (160 feet). His best this season (164’11”) has him on the NCAA list as 17th overall this season.
